Some Sketchbook Pages from Summer

Over the summer I ended up going to a couple of art museums and sketched at them, these ones are from when I was in Madrid.

Pen Studies

I've been trying to draw more in pen lately to get more comfortable with it; so I did some portrait masterwork studies all from different favorite artists of mine. Here are a few that I had alot of fun doing.  : )

Shedd Aquarium

This past week a certain fellow artist (Youri Dekker)came to visit me in Chicago and we decided to go practice sketching animals from life at the shedd aquarium downtown which was alot of fun and explains why my sketchbook is now filled with fish.

Head Studies

I had to go to the Stanford art museum for art history but when I was there I got to see a lot of great busts by Rodin and  portraits which made great head studies that were fun to do. :)

This one not from Stanford but just a pretty face to try and draw.

Quick Update

Just felt like posting some quick sketches before final projects start to get crazy soon:)

Winter Sketchbook I never posted

Working on my winter sketchbook was a long time ago but I never posted any work from it so I thought I might as well now...looking back at it was I wish I was more adventurous with other mediums but here's some pages I did while traveling with just having a pencil:)

113b Renderings

Like everyone else in 113b I've been very busy with trees and forest comps but with the renderings done I thought I'd post them. I feel like the branch was the most fun to do but I'll just put all the other ones up to.

First blog post ever!...

 I decided to finally make a blog for a place to some of my work that I've been up to, I'm not much of a blogger but I guess I'll get the hang of it. So as my first post I thought I might as well put up my portfolio for the program I submitted last semester :)
